The Jawaharlal Nehru University administration ordered a probe after graffiti citing "exclusive tendencies" was sprayed on the walls of the university's School of International Studies and on the doors of some faculties. On Thursday, the administration noted that some faculty members sprayed graffiti on the door of the School of International Studies, saying, "Go back to the branch" and other statements. The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) has ranked the highest position within all Indian institutes in the latest round of Times Higher Education (THE) rankings. Most Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) boycotted the decision for the third consecutive year over transparency concerns.
