Assam HS board 2024 (AHSEC) to declare 12th result

Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu has informed about completion of the 'HS 2nd Year Result 2024' drafting process. Following it is expected that, Higher Secondary results are to declare soon. Earlier, Education Minister said that results might get declared before May 5. Contractual teachers will not be granted permanent posts, Assam

The Assam Government has recently spoke on plans to transit contractual teachers into permanent status within the recruited schools. According to the reports, about 4,500 contractual teachers are working in various high schools and have the same pay scale as regular employees. The Director of Secondary Education in Assam, Mamata Hojai said, “The contractual teachers who have been working in schools were given the benefits of permanent teachers. Semiconductor facility under Skill Development Centre

The Assam Government and Tata is going to collaborate to set up a Skill Development Centre within the premises of the semiconductor facility for youths in Assam. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, "Today during my deliberations with the Tata leadership we agreed to create a Skill Development Centre that will be co-located within the premises of the semiconductor facility in Jagiroad." According to the sources, the Centre is emphasized to offer courses in Artificial Intelligence, semiconductors and electronics and help them in securing jobs.

First IIT Campus Outside India To Be Set Up In Tanzania’s Zanzibar

The Ministry of External Affairs has recently revealed about the set up of a campus of IIT Madras in Tanzania's Zanzibar. This initiative will not only strengthen the relationship between the two countries but it will also help to promote Indian education system at international level. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in the presence of External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Zanzibar's President Hussein Ali Mwinyi. The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 recommends that "high performing Indian universities will be encouraged to set up campuses in other countries", said MEA.

Bengal: Jadavpur University to Get Rs 2.32 Cr to Upgrade Internet Connectivity
