A man from Andhra Pradesh’s Nellore district was taken into custody for allegedly slitting the throat of a fourteen-yr-old girl and pouring acid on her face. It was once alleged that the assailant was a close relative of the girl’s family. The incident came about in Venkatachalam village’s Chemudgunta colony on Monday afternoon. Car accident kills nine in Andhra Pradesh; PM Modi announces ex-gratia

Nine people were killed in a collision between a lorry and a car in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday. The accident was reported from Anantapuram district in Budagavi village of the state.
