A trusted legacy brand with quality, long-lasting durability and innovation at its core, Raunak Mattress, one of India’s leading sleep-solutions companies has announced to set up company’s first plant at Gauripur in Guwahati to create wider availability, faster customer service and greater customisation along with localisation towards the taste and preferences of the North Eastern market. The company manufactures and markets all kind of mattresses including – rubberised coir, polyurethane foam and spring mattresses. It is one of the few brands which caters to all 4H categories of sleep – Home, Hotel, Hospital and Hostels. It has a committed dealership network consisting of over 1500 dealer partners in 18 states, largely in the Western, Eastern and North Eastern parts of India. To expand its retails presence across the NE Region, the Company has also opened its exclusive retail showrooms at Fancy Bazaar and Bharalumukh. The retail showrooms format are called “Galleria” and “Zone” opened on standalone basis to enhance the customer’s retail experience. The average size of the dedicated brand area in these outlets ranges from 200-800 square feet. The Company aims to open 30 such outlets across North Eastern India and 100 such outlets across the entire country within the next three years.

We are Eastern India’s largest and most diverse mattress manufacturing organisation and the only brand which has four out of its five manufacturing facilities located strategically across Eastern India at Kolkata, Cuttack and now at Guwahati. We have been present in the North East market since 2001 and in these 20+ years, Guwahati has been one of the prime markets for the organisation. North East is a very emerging market. As sleep has increasingly become a health related aspect both physically and mentally, the relevance of mattress in the Indian customer’s importance hierarchy has been rising rapidly. Keeping the lifestyle choices of the customers and to fulfil the rising demand for an affordable yet quality sleep-solution product, we have decided to open our plant along with commencing the two exclusive retails showrooms here in Guwahati today.”
Mr. Raunak Agarwal said, “Our four-mattress manufacturing units combined have the capability of producing up to 5 MT of Rubberised coir daily and, 3 MT for polyurethane foam daily which accounts to about 1500 mattresses each day. The Guwahati unit will have the capacity to manufacture up to 300 pieces every day, which may be ramped up further in the next 3-5 years horizon. We have developed various technologies like Spacertech, Vibrotech, Luxe-Latex, Self Cool Tech which have been ground breaking innovations for customer’s quality sleep. The mattresses are made under strict quality medians as the firm’s products are approved by the BIS markings. We also export to neighbouring countries like Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal through our Indian agents.”
