About 25% of Government Schools in West Do Not Have a Head Master

Of the total 9,990 authority faculties in West Bengal, about 2,130 faculties do not have a head teacher, according to the School Education Department. This means, 25 percent of faculties in the country do not have a head teacher. This is probably due to not hiring head teachers on a long-term basis. As per rules a head teacher can be appointed for seven years. The entrance test will be held for admissions to B.E/B. Tech programs for colleges affiliated with the Karnataka Professional Colleges Foundation Trust and Uni-GAUGE member universities.
