Film producer Karan Johar on Tuesday donated Rs 11 lakh to the Assam Chief Minister Himanta Vishwa Relief Fund for flood relief. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma visited the flood-hit Barak Valley where a resident braved the floodwaters and greeted him with a 'Gamusa'. The Gauhati High Court has issued notices to the West Bengal Chief Secretary and the Kolkata Police Commissioner for alleged non-cooperation with the Assam Police in executing a non-bailable arrest warrant against the Kolkata-based political commentator.
