Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday said giving free training and medical facilities to students and people is not termed as distribution of ‘revdi’. The AAP supremo’s reaction to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement that efforts are being made to distribute ‘free revdy’ in the country to garner votes is a subculture.
Slamming Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘revdi culture’, the Delhi CM said, “I am being accused, but I choose to ask what is wrong with me. 18 lakh college students study in Delhi’s government schools. We are providing them with free, first-class education.” .Am I committing a crime by giving them free, specific education?”
“This should have been done in 1947 and 1950. We are laying the foundations of the country, it is no longer giving free revisions,” Kejriwal said.
“Those who abuse me have spent crores of rupees to buy airplanes and non-public jets for themselves. Kejriwal will not buy a plane for himself. Despite doing so much for free in Delhi, our budget is still on the path of profit. I am not pronouncing it now; The current CAG report says this”, said Kejriwal.
“Delhi is the only city where two crore people are being treated for free. The entire cost of the remedy is borne by the government,” he said.
Earlier in the day, PM Modi had recommended to the people ‘Revdi Sankshatri’ under which votes were sought with the promise of free elections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said it could be very dangerous for the development of the country.
“This revitalizing lifestyle is very unsafe for the development of the country. Those with Revdi heritage will never build you new expressways, new airports or defense corridors. Together we have to defeat this mindset, eliminate the revdy lifestyle from the country’s politics,” the Prime Minister said while inaugurating the Bhudelkhand Expressway.
