A tripartite meeting is to be held by CM, Himanta Biswa Sharma to resolve the issue for six communities demanding Scheduled Tribe status.
The six communities that are demanding for the ST tribe are Adivasi, Chutia, Koch Rajbongshi, Matak, Moran and Tai Ahom.
While listening to their concern, also drew their attention to the series of steps taken by our Govt to accord them ST status, the CM said.
Along with it, 12 more communities are protesting in five other states for ST status.
