Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEE) officially handed over critical healthcare equipment (20 oxygen humidifiers) to the state of West Bengal in the presence of Mr Narayan Swaroop Nigam, Secretary, Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of West Bengal. This was in line with its national level CSR drive against Covid-19.
MD & CEO of ZEE, Mr. Punit Goenka said, they hope that the donated critical equipment will help West Bengal to address the challenges faced due to the ongoing pandemic and strengthen its overall healthcare infrastructure. Issuing a letter to ZEE, Mr. Narayan Swaroop Nigam thanked ZEE for its kind gesture of contributing critical healthcare equipment to West Bengal.
Noteworthy, ZEE had committed to donating 240+ ambulances, 46,000+ PPE kits, 90+ oxygen humidifiers & 6,00,000 Daily Meals as its national level CSR drive towards enhancing the country’s healthcare infrastructure against Covid-19. ZEE has also financially supported over 5000 Daily Wage Earners working directly or indirectly with the Company. Further, 3400+ employees have contributed towards PM CARES Fund. The amount generated was matched by ZEE, and the collective proceeds were donated to PM CARES Fund. The donation to West Bengal is in line with the company’s national-level CSR drive.
