Xiaomi Pad 8 to Launch in India on February 28 with Snapdragon 8s Gen 4

Xiaomi has officially confirmed that it will launch the Xiaomi Pad 8 in India on February 28. Ahead of the debut, the company has revealed key specifications, positioning the device as its slimmest and most powerful tablet yet.
According to details shared on Xiaomi’s official website, the Pad 8 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. The same processor was featured in the Chinese variant of the tablet, which was unveiled in September last year. With this high-performance chip, Xiaomi is aiming to deliver flagship-level performance for productivity, entertainment, and gaming.
The tablet will pack a massive 9,200 mAh battery, which the company claims can last up to two days on a single charge. It is also expected to support 45W fast charging, ensuring quicker top-ups for users on the go.
Xiaomi has also teased two accessories alongside the tablet—the Xiaomi Focus Pen Pro and the Focus Keyboard. The Focus Pen Pro is expected to feature a buttonless design with gesture-enabled controls and pro-level sensitivity for precise input, making it suitable for note-taking and creative tasks. Meanwhile, the Focus Keyboard will come with adaptive backlit keys and a gesture-enabled precision touchpad, enhancing the overall productivity experience. However, the company has not yet clarified whether these accessories will be bundled with the tablet or sold separately.
If the Indian variant mirrors the Chinese model’s specifications, the Xiaomi Pad 8 could sport an 11.2-inch 3.2K LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 800 nits. The device is likely to run on HyperOS 3 and offer up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
For optics, the tablet may feature a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera for video calls and selfies. Connectivity options are expected to include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and a USB Type-C port.
With premium features and high-end specifications, Xiaomi appears set to strengthen its position in India’s competitive tablet market with the upcoming Pad 8 launch.
