The CIIE.CO-led Assam Agribusiness Growth Lab Program, funded by the World Bank, has achieved success with 25 startups accelerated in its first-year cohort. Within two years, it wants to graduate more than 100 startups. On June 9, 2023, the AAGL program organized “Assam Agri Startup Connect” in Delhi, where Assamese entrepreneurs presented their businesses and ideas to a jury of judges. The program, launched under the Assam Agri-business and Rural Transformation Project in collaboration with ICCSPL
The ongoing Cohort 2.0 saw a surge in women-led startups, rising from 32% to 45%, it has expanded its reach to 12 districts, and 9 enterprises are taking advantage of the event in Delhi to pitch to investors. It aims to highlight the thriving startup ecosystem in Assam and attract investors, positioning Assam as a hub for entrepreneurial activity.
By hosting the event in Delhi, potential investors can explore funding possibilities and engage with Assam’s startup community.
