Early Tuesday, Junmoni Rabha woman Sub-Inspector, Assam Police life ended after her car collided with a Container truck in Nagaon district.
Junmoni Rabha was one of the most known officers from Assam Police as she was embroiled in several controversies in Assam. She was known as ‘Lady Singham’ as she was devoted to her duties.
According to the reports, the accident occurred at Sarubhugia village under Jakhalabandha police station of Kaliabor Sub-Division.
Due to her sudden dead, family suspects foul play and demands proper investigation into the matter.
Also an extortion case was registered against the woman officer before the accident. According to her mother, Sumitra Rabha, “On Monday night, a team of higher police officials conducted a raid at Rabha’s official quarter in Nagaon and seized around ₹1 lakh. Her mother was also present during the raid.” She claimed that the seized money belonged to Rabha’s mother, who had earned it from her small home-based business of poultry and pig farming.
Assam DGP G.P. Singh informed that the case will be investigated by CID Assam through a tweet.
