West Bengal government extends Covid-19 restrictions till July 1

The West Bengal government extended the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) restrictions in the state till July 1. Chief minister Mamata Banerjee made the announcement at a press conference on Monday.

All government offices will function with 25% strength. Private and corporate offices will remain open from 10am to 4pm with not more than 25% strength, Shops in shopping malls and shopping complexes will be allowed to open between 11am and 6pm with 50% work force, the CM said, adding that sports activities, too, can resume without spectators. All education institutes and waterways will remain closed. The movement of private vehicles will remain suspended, excluding for emergency,”  Mamata Banerjee said.
