Arunachal Pradesh’s remote Gipulin hamlet hosted the official launch of the Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan (VKSA), a coordinated initiative to support sustainable agriculture and increase farmers’ income. Women & Child Development and Science & Technology Minister Dasanglu Pul launched the program in front of Deputy Commissioner Pagli Sora, Zilla Parishad Chairperson Theko Tayu, and local MLA and Tourism Advisor Mopi Mihu. Heads of several departments and prominent scientists from Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Anini also attended the ceremony. The Minister reinforced the government’s support for sustainable and scientific agricultural methods by giving farmers hybrid seeds and soil health cards as part of the outreach program.
Additionally, she announced two Krishi Raths, which are mobile units designed to inform, inspire, and teach farmers about contemporary farming methods. The Union Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare is leading the country’s Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan, a campaign that aims to double farmers’ income, raise knowledge of central agricultural initiatives, and provide doorstep access to crucial agricultural advisories and services. The initiative embodies the Center’s overarching goal of establishing an autonomous and technologically advanced agriculture sector in the most remote areas of India.
