On Monday, a tiger corpse was found in the Biswanath district of Assam’s Horonbali Chapori section of Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve. The tiger may have perished as a result of a territorial dispute with another tiger, according to forest officials. Senior forest authorities and veterinary professionals hurried to the scene for a preliminary assessment after forest guards discovered the carcass during a routine patrol. After their evaluation, the carcass was disposed of in front of them.
Although the reason of death is yet unknown, preliminary inquiries indicate the tiger died as a result of wounds sustained during a territory dispute. To ascertain the exact reason, the body has been submitted for forensic examination. According to the most recent census, there are around 135 tigers living in Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site that has been a Tiger Reserve since 2006.
