The Government of Assam has approved the ‘Amendment of Assam Motor Vehicle Rules 2003’ to empower designated officers to stop auctioning vehicles impounded, seized and detained under various motor vehicle offenses.
And the ‘Assam (Services) Pension Rules, 1969’ will be amended to ensure the distribution of family pensions to the unmarried dependent daughter of the pensioner and by the unmarried daughter to all other eligible siblings such as minor sons, disabled children, etc. Unmarried dependent children.
A complete checklist for pension applications has also been approved. A provision has also been added in case of complaint of non-distribution of pension to all eligible beneficiaries by unmarried daughters and the Government may share equally among the eligible persons.
