Union Minister Nitin Gadkari falls ill on stage in Siliguri

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari fell sick on a visit to North Bengal. He felt ill after stepping down from the stage. A doctor had been brought to diagnose him, through the green corridor. He had come to lay the foundation stone of a long road from Shiv Mandir in Siliguri to Sevak’s Cantonment on Thursday. The ceremony was carried out at Dagapur ground near Darjeeling Junction. Nitin Gadkari was not feeling well on stage. So the ceremony was hurriedly stopped . He was taken the green room for rest. But relaxing in the green room made him feel even sicker.

According to party sources, Nitin Gadkari’s blood sugar level has fallen down. As per the guidance of the doctor, Saline has been injected. Later, BJP MP from Darjeeling Raju Bista left for his house in a car with Gadkari. Necessary decision and arrangements will be planned for the Union Minister’s diagnosis at his residence in Matigara. Doctors are also with them.

After the event in Siliguri, he was likely to go to Dalkhola. According to sources, the event may be called off. He can go back to Delhi from Siliguri.
