Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, Durgadas Ui key, during his visit to Tripura, held a meeting with the leadership of the Janajati Morcha at the Gomati District Circuit House on Tuesday. During the interaction, the Union Minister held detailed discussions on various organizational and tribal welfare related issues. He later chaired a review meeting with senior administrative officials of Gomati district. The meeting focused on the progress of ongoing developmental works in the district and the implementation status of various centrally sponsored schemes. The Union Minister had, on Tuesday, offered prayers morning at the Tripura Sundari at Malabari. The historic temple, it may be noted, has been recently renovated and adorned with a new look. Ui key also reviewed the ongoing development work there. The visit of the Union Minister, which comes ahead of the Tripura Tribal areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections, is aimed at strengthening coordination between the Centre, the state administration, and tribal leadership for the effective implementation of welfare and development programmers.
