UK’s NHS Approves 3D Printed Organs for Transplant Trials

The UK’s National Health Service (NHS) has given the green light to begin human trials of 3D-printed organs, starting with synthetic kidneys. The organs, created using patient-specific cells, aim to reduce transplant waiting times and rejection rates.

Trials will begin later this year in London hospitals. Scientists say this could revolutionize organ donation worldwide.

Medical universities in Nepal and India are planning academic collaborations with British institutions to gain early access to this technology. Bangladesh’s health ministry has expressed interest in observing the trial process closely for potential future adaptation.
