Uddhav’s statement on BJP over dividing the Hindus

Maharashtra Chief Minister and Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday accused the BJP of conspiring to divide Hindus in the state.

Thackeray made the comments in his online address to Shiv Sena district chiefs in the Konkan region and western and northern Maharashtra, according to points shared by the party from his speech.

Without naming the BJP, Thackeray alleged that it was trying to paint Maharashtra as “anti-Hindu” as has been alleged in West Bengal and Kerala – both non-BJP-ruled states.

“We always say Maharashtra leads the way. Now, Maharashtra has to show its direction again. It is a BJP conspiracy to divide Hindus and Marathi and non-Marathi in Maharashtra,” Thackeray alleged.
