Turkish Airlines has announced its ambitious sustainability brand, “Tomorrow On-Board,” on June 5, coinciding with World Environment Day. The launch event, held at Istanbul Airport, showcased a variety of sustainable in-flight products and services, alongside an exhibition of items crafted from repurposed aircraft parts.
The “Tomorrow On-Board” initiative highlights Turkish Airlines’ future-oriented sustainability goals and integrates these principles into its corporate culture. The initiative aims to enhance the airline’s brand image, provide a cohesive message for sustainability efforts, and engage both passengers and investors in its eco-friendly mission.Chief Investment & Strategy Officer, Mr. Levent Konukcu, emphasized the airline’s dedication to environmental stewardship. “The Tomorrow On-Board initiative embodies our commitment to reducing our environmental impact and enhancing sustainability practices across all our operations to leave a better world for future generations,” said Konukcu. “We emphasize our dedication to offering transparent information and data, ensuring that our sustainability efforts are consistently clear and easily accessible to all stakeholders.”
To celebrate the launch, the exhibition “41.2607° North and 28.7424° East” is featuring works from four interdisciplinary artists using materials such as decommissioned aircraft parts and cabin textiles. The exhibition will be open to visitors at Istanbul Airport for the next two weeks, underscoring the airline’s pledge to a sustainable future.
