The electoral timeline has been structured to coincide with the council’s tenure expiration on April 18. A notification is expected to be issued on Wednesday, detailing the election process: nominations must be filed by March 25, with scrutiny on March 26 and withdrawal by March 28. If necessary, a repoll will occur on April 16. Alongside these announcements, the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) has been activated immediately within the TTAADC jurisdiction, urging all participants to ensure that elections are conducted freely and fairly, with videography to document the process.

The TTAADC consists of 28 constituencies, where 25 are reserved for Scheduled Tribes and three are unreserved. The electorate totals 962,697, comprising 482,025 male voters, 480,666 female voters, and six others. To oversee the elections, all eight district magistrates will serve as District Election Officers. In terms of security, Director General of Police Anurag highlighted the deployment of over 11,000 personnel, including members from the Tripura State Rifles and the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). A total of 1,257 polling stations has been identified: 311 are designated as high-risk, 693 as sensitive, and 253 as normal. Appropriate security measures, including mobile patrolling and area domination strategies, will be enforced to ensure the safety of voters during the electoral process.
