Tripura has recorded a major leap in CBSE results this year, with Class 10 pass rates rising to 86%, a sharp 26% jump from last year. Class 12 results also improved significantly, reaching 71%, up by 21 percentage points. Special Secretary of Education Raval Hemendra Kumar announced the results at a press conference at the state Secretariat. “The performance of Vidya Jyoti schools has been exceptional, with 15 schools securing 100% pass in Class 10, up from just one last year,” he said.
Suraj Basu of Belonia Government English Medium School topped the Class 10 list with 496 marks (99.2%), while Tapeshwar Pal of Shishu Bihar School led the Class 12 results with 491 marks (98.2%). South Tripura district recorded the highest Class 10 pass rate at 92%, followed by Khowai (89%) and Unakoti and Sepahijala (88% each). For Class 12, North Tripura topped with 85%, while Sepahijala had the lowest at 47.9%.
The number of schools crossing the 90% mark increased sharply—66 schools for Class 10 (up from 5), and 25 for Class 12 (up from 2). Education Director NC Sharma said reforms will continue to further improve outcomes next year.
