Tripura CM Manik Saha criticizes previous Govt for neglecting development

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha strongly criticized the previous state government on December 30 for neglecting development during its tenure. Addressing residents in the Gandhighat area of Ward No. 32, Baradowali Assembly Constituency, Saha emphasized his administration’s commitment to creating a united and prosperous Tripura. Speaking during a blanket distribution drive, Saha remarked, “As we approach the New Year, I extend my greetings to everyone. Our goal is to progress together with unity. Many challenges exist, but they can be overcome collectively.” He highlighted ongoing efforts, such as distributing winter clothes, as steps toward fostering closer ties with the public.

Saha outlined his government’s achievements, including significant advancements in rural development, economic growth, and improved governance. “We are generating employment opportunities, improving rural infrastructure, and enhancing law and order. Tourists are increasingly visiting Tripura, drawn by the progress we have made. Thanks to the Asthalaxmi vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Tripura’s future is bright,” he said.

Criticizing the prior administration, Saha noted its limited contributions. “In 35 years, they managed to build only an overbridge and a community hall. This is not how a state is managed. Our government focuses on quality education, transparent governance, and fostering public trust,” he added.
