Vice President CP Radhakrishnan will inaugurate the 14th convocation of Tripura Central University on March 8 at Suryamaninagar in West Tripura. Key attendees will include Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu, Chief Minister Manik Saha, Varsity Chancellor Ahmed Javed, and Acting Vice Chancellor Prof Shyamal Das. The ceremony will feature the awarding of gold medals to top-performing students in undergraduate and postgraduate courses for the academic years 2024-2025, with 145 students from 2024 and 138 from 2025 set to be honored. Additionally, PhD degrees will be conferred to 149 graduates. The acting Registrar, Prof Sameer Kumar Shil, highlighted that the convocation was not held the previous two years (2024 and 2025), resulting in challenges for students. The ceremony will provide a crucial opportunity to distribute certificates aimed at alleviating those difficulties.
