Tripura BSF interrupt smaglling & seized Rs. 8 lack contraband items

The Border Security Force (BSF) in Tripura successfully foiled multiple trans-border smuggling bids along the Indo-Bangladesh border, seizing a large quantity of contraband items worth over Rs 8 lakh. In a series of operations, the BSF seized 88 kg of Ganja, 470 bottles of Phensedyl, and 50 kg of sugar, valued at Rs 8,90,308. Additionally, four cattle were also confiscated.

In collaboration with Railway Police, BSF personnel apprehended three Indian touts from the village of North Kaiyadepha in Sepahijala district, located along the Bangladesh border. This operation was part of ongoing efforts to curb illegal cross-border trade.Earlier this week, another operation resulted in the seizure of Ganja, Phensedyl, sugar, and other contraband items worth Rs 8,74,578.

In a separate, compassionate act, BSF troops saved the life of Anajay Tripura, an injured villager from Hariya Mani Para. The security personnel provided immediate first aid and evacuated him to a hospital for treatment.
