Tripura BJP aims to strengthen grassroots presence in upcoming meeting

Tripura BJP President Rajib Bhattacharya announced an organizational meeting set for October 26, focusing on fortifying the party’s grassroots presence across the state. Bhattacharya, also a Rajya Sabha MP, revealed that the BJP’s membership drive—initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 2—has so far added over 10 lakh members, aiming for a target of 12 lakh in Tripura.

“Currently, around 7.43 lakh members have joined online and 2 lakh offline. We’re on track to achieve our goal,” Bhattacharya stated, expressing confidence in the campaign’s progress.

The meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Manik Saha, State Prabhari Dr. Rajdeep Roy, and Northeast Coordinator Sambit Patra, will address strategies for strengthening the BJP’s reach in Tripura. Bhattacharya also lauded recent developments, such as the Rs 2800 crore package for national highway upgrades and increased dental college seat capacity, as steps forward under CM Saha’s administration.

Additionally, Bhattacharya praised the state’s recent free ration distribution initiative and the CM-SATH scheme for meritorious students, calling these efforts “significant achievements” by the state government.
