Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) is transforming the way consumers experience sustainable mobility. At the India Energy Week (IEW) 2025, held in New Delhi from February 11 to 14, Toyota unveiled a lineup of eco-friendly vehicles designed to make green transportation more practical, accessible, and cost-effective for Indian consumers. Toyota’s multi-pathway approach includes the InnovaHycross Strong Hybrid Electric Vehicle (SHEV), the Mirai Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV) powered by hydrogen, and the Prius Flex-Fuel Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (FFV-PHEV) that runs on up to 100% ethanol. The company also showcased its Urban Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) Concept, tailored for urban commuters, and its locally manufactured e-Drive system, reinforcing India’s role in the global clean energy movement under the ‘Make in India’ initiative.
Consumers stand to benefit significantly from Toyota’s green mobility vision. Ethanol-based vehicles offer an economical alternative to traditional fuels, reducing costs while supporting the local agricultural industry. Additionally, the company’s commitment to shifting 65% of transport routes from Bidadi to the North via rail has contributed to lower carbon emissions and enhanced supply chain efficiency, ultimately benefiting end users with more sustainable and affordable options.
Mr. VikramGulati, Country Head & EVP – Corporate Affairs and Governance, TKM, highlighted Toyota’s consumer-centric strategy, stating, “Sustainability must be practical and accessible for every consumer. By integrating diverse clean energy solutions, we aim to make eco-friendly mobility a viable choice for all.” Toyota’s commitment to consumers goes beyond vehicles—it’s about enabling a future where sustainability is affordable, convenient, and beneficial to both individuals and the economy at large.
