Toyota Kirloskar drives green goals with ‘Sustainable Resource Management’ push for Environment Month 2025

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has launched Environment Month 2025 under the theme “Sustainable Resource Management Drive,” reinforcing its alignment with the Toyota Environmental Challenge 2050. The initiative promotes ‘Zero-Base Thinking’ by encouraging the 4Rs—Refuse, Recycle, Reuse, and Reduce—to embed sustainability into every aspect of operations and the value chain.

Building on its 25-year journey in India, TKM highlighted major milestones: 100% renewable grid electricity usage, 96% waste recyclability, and nearly 90% of water needs met through recycling and rainwater harvesting. The 25-acre ‘Ecozone’ has educated over 42,000 people, including children, on ecological responsibility.

As part of the “TKM Sustainable Hub 2025,” weekly activities such as Green Expo, Wealth from Waste, and Tech Shows will spotlight student innovation, upcycled products, and green lifestyle solutions. The company also targets zero plastic packaging by 2030 and continues its Kaizen-led carbon and resource reduction efforts. Local dealerships anticipate strong community engagement. With a growing eco-conscious consumer base, the city’s market is poised to support Toyota’s initiatives through active participation in plantation drives and interest in green vehicle technologies, enhancing the brand’s sustainability connect in the Northeast.
