Toshakhana presents are made public by the Pakistani government; retainers include Shehbaz, Nawaz, Imran Khan, and Zardari
In the wake of the controversy surrounding the Toshakhana gifts sold by former prime minister Imran Khan, the Pakistani government has for the first time disclosed information about foreign gifts received by officials.
On the website of the Cabinet Division, the details of Toshakhana, or the state depository, were made public on Sunday. They showed the gifts that former presidents, prime ministers, members of the federal cabinet, politicians, bureaucrats, retired generals, judges, and journalists kept from 2002 to 2022.
President Arif Alvi, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, former Prime Ministers Imran Khan, Nawaz Sharif, and Asif Ali Zardari, as well as the late military dictator Pervez Musharraf, former Premier Shaukat Aziz, and ex-President Asif Ali Zardari, were among those who benefited, according to the 446-page report.
