In light of the prevailing circumstances in Bangladesh, Daljit Singh Chawdhary, the Director General of the Border Security Force (BSF), is scheduled to arrive in Tripura on August 7th to assess bordering districts. India Today NE was informed by BSF sources that the DG is traveling to Tripura and will be visiting different border regions of the state.
Bangladesh and Tripura have an 856 km long international boundary. “The chief of the BSF is touring every state that borders Bangladesh. He visited West Bengal before traveling to Tripura today to examine the state’s border regions, according to a BSF source. The source went on to say that he is probably going to visit the following places: Srimanta Integrated Check Post in Sepahijala District, Akhaura in West District, and Kailashahar Sub-division in Unakoti District.
“The DG is anticipated to meet with the chief secretary of Tripura as well as senior Tripura Police officials. The source continued, “He will meet with BSF officials stationed in Tripura. The source added that because of Bangladesh’s unstable circumstances, he will evaluate the BSF’s readiness and inspect the country’s borders during his visit.
