Three Bangladeshi nationals arrested at Agartala Railway Station for illegal entry

The Agartala Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF), Border Security Force (BSF), and the intelligence department arrested three Bangladeshi nationals at Agartala Railway Station on December 22. The individuals were detained while attempting to board a train to Kolkata. According to GRP officials, the suspects were identified as Chutan Das (19), Bishnu Chandra Das (20), both from Noakhali District, and Mohammad Malek (30) from Habiganj, Bangladesh.

The arrest was made after receiving confidential intelligence about their illegal entry into India. During preliminary interrogation, the suspects admitted to entering India unlawfully and were on their way to Kolkata, intending to cross the border by train.

The operation, which involved multiple security agencies, is ongoing, and the arrested individuals are being interrogated at the Agartala GRP Police Station. Authorities suspect that there may be more individuals involved, and further arrests could follow. A case has been registered, and the suspects will be produced before the court.
