Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS), a global leader in IT services, consulting, and business solutions, and the Department of Electronics, IT, BT, and Science and Technology, Government of Karnataka, have pleased to announce that registrations are now open for the 25th edition of the TCS Rural IT Quiz program.
A part of the Bengaluru Tech Summit 2024, the quiz comprises a combination of online tests, virtual and physical quiz rounds. Students from Classes 8 to 12 from smaller towns and districts across India are encouraged to participate.
The TCS Rural IT Quiz will focus on the application of technology across various sectors and other aspects like the technology environment, business, its people, and new trends, including AI and cloud computing. Eight regional finals across India will be held, with winners progressing to the National Finals in Bengaluru in November 2024. Regional and national winners will receive gift vouchers and TCS education scholarships. The program has reached over 21 million students till date and is recognized by the Limca Book of Records as the first IT quiz for rural students in India.
