A comprehensive workshop focused on the Pradhan Mantri Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (PM NAPS) took place at the Dorjee Khandu Government College (DKG) in Tawang on Thursday. The event was inaugurated by Tawang Deputy Commissioner Namgyal Angmo, and aimed to create an engaging platform for students and stakeholders, promoting youth involvement in skill development and training aimed at employment. Organized by the District Skill Committee in partnership with DKG College Tawang, the workshop sought to raise awareness about apprenticeship opportunities and various skill development initiatives available to the youth.
Key contributors included Deputy Director Gyati Kacho from the Skill Development and Entrepreneurship sector, and representatives from organizations like 2Coms Consulting Pvt. Ltd., Eduvantage Pvt. Ltd., Yuva Shakti, Timilo Boutique, and Vivanta Tawang, alongside ITI students and DKG College students. The workshop featured a series of enlightening presentations covering PM NAPS, SAPS, and the vast array of benefits and career pathways accessible through apprenticeship programs. This initiative highlights the essential role of practical training and skill enhancement in fostering career readiness among the youth.
