Tata Motors Surpasses Expectations, Sells 229,891 Units in Q1FY25

Tata Motors Limited’s sales in Q1FY 2024-25 increased to 229,891 vehicles, compared to 226,245 units in Q1FY 2023-24. The domestic sales performance showed a -8% decrease from June 2024 to June 2023, with total sales of 74,147 and 74,147 respectively. The change in Q1 FY25 from 225,719 to Q1 FY24 222,345 represents a 2% increase in the previous year. 

The rate of decrease for Domestic commercial vehicles in June 2024 and June 2023 was -8%, with a total of 30,623 vehicles sold in June 2024 as compared to 33,148, in June 2023. The total sales of commercial vehicles in June 2024 and June 2023 were 31,980 and 34,314 respectively, indicating a -7 % decrease rate. MH&ICV’s domestic sales increased from 14,427 units in June 2023 to 14,640 units in June 2024, and from 35,188 units in Q1 FY24 to 40,349 units in Q1 FY25.

MH&ICV’s domestic and international sales increased from 14,770 units in June 2023 to 15,224 units in June 2024, and from 36,577 units in Q1 FY24 to 41,974 units in Q1 FY25.  Mr. Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd. said, “Tata Motors wholesales of 138,682 cars and SUVs in Q1 FY25 remained flat compared to Q1 FY24, as we readjusted our wholesales in line with retails to keep channel inventory under control.” The total PV domestic (including EV) in June 2024 and June 2023 were 43,524 and 47,235 respectively. The total PV (including EV) in June 2024 and June 2023 were 43,624and 47,359, respectively, indicating a -8% decline rate. The sales of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited, both subsidiary companies of Tata Motors Limited, are included.
