Taiwan Remains on High Alert as PLA Warships Withdraw Following Record Intrusions

The Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) appears to be wrapping up its massive “Justice Mission 2025” military exercises around Taiwan. The two-day drills, which saw a record 90 aircraft and dozens of naval vessels crossing the median line, simulated a full-scale regional blockade. While Beijing described the maneuvers as a “stern warning” against foreign arms sales, Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense continues to monitor “residual” activities, noting that Chinese ships crossed into the 24-nautical mile contiguous zone for the first time in history during this exercise.
