Three Bangladeshi females and two Indians were arrested in Tripura's Sepahijala area on Thursday for alleged human trafficking. On Wednesday, three Bangladeshi girls were apprehended at Bhabhanipur and Kalikrishnanagar by the Jatrapura police station. Police noted that the remaining two Indians were apprehended in Kalikrishnanagar on Thursday. The police had spotted a suspicious movement by a lady. Tripura police arrest a person for smuggling 16,000 yaba tablets and six kilograms of marijuana in Fultoli Naya Para district of the state. According to officials, on Tuesday morning, based on a tip, police in Amtali raided Debjit Bhoumik's home in Fultoli Naya Para. During the operation, investigators seized 16,000 yaba tablets and 6 kg of marijuana while arresting Bhoumik.
