The Tripura government began acquiring 21,315 metric tons of paddy at 51 places at the minimum support price. Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs Minister Sushanta Chowdhury and Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Ratanlal Nath presided over the major ceremony, which took place at the Madhab Bari food warehouse in Jirania under the West District.
