Tawang's 700-year-old Chakzam Bridge is a wonder of ancient engineering and history, according to Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, who praised it as a "testament of vision, skill, and resilience." According to CM Khandu, Dupthop Thangtong Gyalpo, an engineer and Buddhist saint, constructed the iron suspension bridge over the Tawang Chu river between 1454 and 1458.
