The state is still facing the issue of teacher recruitment. Earlier, former education minister Partha Chatterjee and former board chairman Manik Bhattacharya were arrested. Partha Chatterjee, who was arrested in the recruitment case, was not produced even though the case was scheduled to be heard last Friday due to technical complications and a misunderstanding between the court and jail authorities. Partha Chatterjee will have to appear in court on Monday as he did not appear on Friday. Partha Chatterjee was ordered to be remanded in jail till October 28 in an earlier hearing.
