42 people died in the calamite in Mizoram between march and may 2024, according to officials, said. In the Mizoram State Disaster Management Authority meeting set by the Chief Minister Lalduhoma on Monday, they said that 5,938 houses and buildings were destroyed due to disasters that had taken place. Of the 42 dead, 34 were killed when houses were damaged by landslides in seven areas in the state capital Aizawl on May 28.
