Lt Gen (Retd) K T Parnaik, the governor of Arunachal Pradesh, requested on Thursday that the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) work together to enhance the state's border regions, especially through the Vibrant Border Village initiative. The governor underlined that such initiatives will serve the national interest while helping both local people and the police force during a meeting at Raj Bhawan here with Amitabh Gupta, the Inspector General of North East Frontier Headquarters for ITBP.
