To safeguard migratory animals, the Mizoram government has issued a temporary ban on hunting birds and other wildlife in October and November. Aizawl District Magistrate Lalhriatpuia made the decision on Monday. It prohibits the use of catapults, guns, and air rifles for hunting in an effort to protect the region's animals during this vital time. Section 163 was used to enact this harsh restriction.
