People of all ages are at risk of long-term physical and mental health problems after a Covid infection, a study has found. Following Covid-19 infection, there is a significant new-onset illness in children, adolescents and adults across 13 distinct diagnoses and symptom complexes, according to a new study published in the open-access journal PLOS Medicine. India reports over 2,000 fresh cases, 12 deaths in a day

India has recorded 2,208 new infections of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, taking the tally of Covid cases to 4,46,49,088. According to the data of health ministry, the death toll stood at 5,28,999 with 12 Covid-related deaths on Friday. Active cases hold for 0.05 percent of total infections at 19,398.

West Bengal registers 1,822 new cases, positivity rate at 14.10 percent

West Bengal recorded 1,822 new COVID-19 fresh Covid cases on Sunday, recording a positivity rate of 14.10 %, as per the state Health Department. 3 more COVID-19 sufferers died, taking the toll to 21,225. The state currently has 10,583 active cases. 304 of these patients had to be admitted to the hospital. The new cases were called after 12,921 samples were tested. The country has so far reported 20,34,485 cases of COVID-19. A total of 20,02,677 patients have recovered, including 526 in the remaining 24 hours.

West Bengal records 89 new coronavirus cases, existing Covid restrictions to continue till March 15

Despite the sharp drop in Covid numbers, the nation government on Monday said the night restrictions from nighttime to 5am will proceed until March 15. Barring indispensable services, movement of people, automobiles and all public gatherings will be prohibited in this five-hour period. Mask stays mandatory. The nation stated that owners, employers, administration bodies and supervisors will be accountable for Covid protection measures in all establishments.
