Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein launched a number of historic infrastructure initiatives in the Lohit district to increase connectivity, encourage travel, and preserve the area's natural and cultural legacy. During his visit to the Kamlang Tiger Reserve, Mein spoke with the forest department about a plan to designate the reserve as a Ramsar Site, which is a designation made by the Ramsar Convention to recognize wetlands of global significance.
