With the Nipah situation under control, the District Disaster Management Department has announced a relaxation of containment zones in nine panchayats of Kozhikode district in Kerala. Shops and establishments in this containment zone can now operate till 8 p.m. as per Nipah protocol. In this containment zone, all banks will be able to operate till 2 p.m. But masks and sanitizers must be used, social distancing must be followed and gatherings must be strictly controlled.
