Tracing the footprints of Pakistan-based terrorist organization JeM in Assam is now a big worry. The organization operated mostly in Jammu and Kashmir. For the first time, the group's operations have been identified in the northeast. According to security sources, Pakistan's ISI assisted in the formation of the JeM. The group has attempted to persuade its members to travel to Jammu & Kashmir and engage in violence. The outfit's footprints in other regions of the country were discovered during a statewide raid undertaken by the NIA using technical information.
