Swift Response by Army and Villagers Brings Sigar Village Blaze Under Control in Arunachal Pradesh

A major fire that broke out in Sigar village in Arunachal Pradesh was brought under control with the timely help of the Indian Army, preventing what could have turned into a much larger disaster. The incident took place on March 6 and prompted a quick response from soldiers stationed nearby. According to officials, personnel from the Sigar Military Station noticed the blaze and immediately rushed to the village to assist the residents. By the time the troops arrived, the fire had already started spreading and posed a serious threat to nearby houses and property.

The soldiers joined local villagers in the firefighting efforts. With limited resources available in the remote area, both the Army personnel and villagers worked together using whatever equipment and materials they could find to stop the flames from spreading further. Officials said the prompt response played a crucial role in controlling the situation. Their coordinated efforts helped bring the fire under control before it could cause widespread destruction in the village. While some damage was reported, a much larger loss was prevented because of the quick action taken at the initial stage.

Local residents appreciated the immediate help extended by the Army. Many villagers said that without the soldiers’ assistance, the fire could have spread rapidly and destroyed more homes and property. Authorities said relief and assessment work is continuing in the village. Officials are also trying to determine how the fire started. At present, the exact cause of the blaze is not known and an inquiry is underway.
