Super Shopsy Mela recorded customer growth of 41%

India’s fastest-growing hyper-value e-commerce platform, Shopsy by Flipkart, has concluded its Super Shopsy Mela, marking a record 41% customer growth. The event, held in January, saw heightened participation from customers in tier 2 and beyond cities, with local sellers from across the country collaborating to serve millions of customers.

The event propelled economic growth for lakhs of regional sellers. Tier 2+ cities contributed to the highest demand, with cities including Cuttack, Guwahati, Gorakhpur, Medinipur, and Muzaffarpur, driving demand

Shopsy Mela featured products starting from Rs. 9/- across the platform, with sarees, men’s t-shirts, and sports shoes being the most shopped products. The event also featured a curated store showcasing harvest festival essentials for different geographies in India, ranging from ethnic fashion for men and women, to home decor, and Pooja Essentials. Kapil Thirani, Head of Shopsy, Flipkart, said that the noticeable increase in demand, particularly from Tier 2+ cities, demonstrates Shopsy’s commitment to meeting customers’ diverse preferences and empowering local sellers.
