Student from Assam’s tea garden becomes District Commissioner for a day

An opportunity was made possible through the ‘Arohan’ programme, initiated by District Commissioner Aditya Vikram Yadav to identify talented students from rural and underprivileged backgrounds.

According to the sources, Bhagyadeep Rajgarh, a 16-year-old student from Bokota Nemuguri Deuriting Tea Garden in Assam, was chosen to be the Sivasagar District Commissioner for a day.

The initiative was taken to motivate students from remote and disadvantaged communities to pursue their dreams and achieve academic excellence.

The class 10 student later thanked Assam Government for such opportunity.
